Worcester 250 is researched and funded by the Worcester Republican City Committee (WRCC) and friends. Our mission is to celebrate the most notable people, inventions, things, and events from Worcester and across Massachusetts for America's Semiquincentennial. Click here to make a donation to maintain and grow this celebration.
This site is divided into general categories (page titles) featuring Worcester then branching out across the state - there are just too many things to include. The WRCC hopes you enjoy this site. If you would like to suggest an entry, please contact us above.
Thank you and Happy Birthday!
Like many cities on the east coast, particularly those in the northeast, they're older than the country. Worcester isn't any exception. As such, we understand there's a bit of inherent weirdness in this website's number, as Worcester began in 1722 (304 years old), but we are using 250 as it relates to America's birthday, and by that, Worcester has been an American city for just as long.
